We offer a full range of services for your unique needs.
Individual Therapy
Life is busier than ever. Add to that some deeply felt personal or emotional issues and it can seem overwhelming at times.
Our therapy services for individuals involve the diagnosis and treatment of a number of mental and emotional issues ranging from depression, stress and anxiety to grief, self-esteem, life transitions, abuse, parenting and other conditions. Services are also available for people going through a divorce or separation, or who may be experiencing other relationship problems.
Each session is customized with our clients’ unique needs in mind and tailor-made to address wellness and personal growth issues. Therapy sessions are usually about 50 minutes in length and offered one or more times per week.
Therapy for Couples & Families
For many people, therapy is a profoundly personal issue. But it’s important to know that often our outlook on life involves more than just one individual. That’s why more and more couples and families are turning to a professionally trained therapist to help them get the most out of their relationships.
Whether you are just entering a new relationship, planning your wedding or celebrating your 50th anniversary, therapy can help you reach new levels of understanding, trust and commitment. And when it comes to counseling families, therapy can literally restore and bring new life to the entire household, helping all members achieve greater depths of appreciation for one another.
Therapy sessions may vary in length from about 50 minutes to 90 minutes and are offered weekly or every two weeks.
Therapy for Children
Children are often exposed to the things we try to protect them from most of all. This can result in severe trauma that will affect the child for the rest of his or her life. You no doubt will recognize the following conditions: attention deficit, hyperactivity, oppositional defiance, reactive attachment and conduct disorder – just to name a few.
When it comes to children, psychotherapy must be handled with a great deal of care and sensitivity. We recognize the seriousness of this issue and develop sessions based on the particular issues your child may be experiencing.
In addition, we may involve the parents, foster parents or guardians of the child in some sessions. This is intended to help the parent or guardian develop a greater understanding of the mental health condition of the child and how to react to certain behavior.
Therapy sessions are usually about 50 minutes and are offered one or more times per week.
Group Therapy
Group therapy, like individual psychotherapy, is intended to help people who want to improve their ability to cope with difficulties and problems. In individual therapy, the client typically meets with just one person – the therapist. But in group therapy, the meeting is with a whole group from all walks of life. Discussions are lead by one or two therapists.
Group therapy focuses on interpersonal interactions, helping you solve emotional difficulties and encouraging the personal development of all participants in the group.
Groups include up to eight people who meet weekly for about two hours.
